If you are trying to get units of a specific colour, you should pull all Orbs of that colour during a summoning session. You can stop early if you get the unit you want but it's usually better to finish up the colour to take advantage of the boosted pity rate. Spending 5 Orbs twice to pull on two different Green Orbs is objectively worse than spending 5 then 4 during the same summoning session.

I think the maximum score if you weren't on Team Elise was 629552 on Team Xander. Since your score was over 700000, only Team Elise members could be ahead of you.

It can but it is unlikely enough for Elise to overtake Corrin. None of the previous boosts put Elise above Corrin.

Lately, I've switched to only pulling one on the color of whoever I want, backing out, then going back in and pulling one again, etc. etc. Like, I wanted Corrin today, so I went in, pulled a blue, backed out, went back in, pulled a blue. On my third one, I got her.

I've gotten atleast one or two people that I want from each banner by doing it this way, and haven't spent more than 25-30 orbs on a single banner.

There's probably actually nothing to it, but I figured I'd mention it.

Due to how character generation works, you are more likely to get a 5* unit when you pull on a focus colour compared to non-focus colours. This is because the rates given in game are across all orbs. However, you can use the knowledge from the orb colours to do better than the overall average. The exact percentages vary between different banners. For example this person worked out the rates for the Nohrian summer banner:

Bonus hours are triggered when one characters falls below 90% of the votes of the other character. Using that information and the number of votes gain by each character over the last hour, I can predict when the next bonus hour is. For everyone except Elise, the next bonus hour is projected to be long after the first round ends so it's pretty safe to say it won't happen.

I think joining Team Corrin is likely the best plan if you don't have any bonus units. Keep in mind that the biggest factor in getting a high rank is hitting those bonus periods, most of which are in the dead of night at the start of a round if you live in the US. If you don't stay up for them, your rank will usually be poor even with a bonus character.

Leo should make the finals on the male side. I think Robin has a chance to beat Corrin on the female side but it will likely be Corrin who wins. I'm not sure if there are any rule changes. So far each tournament has had slightly different rules than the previous one.

I was actually wondering if any of this was legal. Technically, the FCC response is just saying that they aren't the right regulatory group to be asking. They suspect the DoJ won't do anything either because it isn't a game show, but it would be up to the DoJ to make the final call on that.

Huh? Hasn't it typically gotten the highest view count of any game and tons of entrants? Admittedly, it was on Saturday this year, which caught me off-guard. I wouldn't have realized they were doing Melee top 8 late on Saturday night if it hadn't been mentioned on the Marvel stream, so I imagine viewership will be a little lower because of that.

SSBM is very popular. SSBM had 120000 viewer this year during finals and I think it normally got around 200000 in finals on Sunday last year. MvC3 currently has around 56000 but it should go up for finals.

I don't know if he used a different character in earlier rounds, but he only used Peach in Top 8. I think he simply just never faced the opponents he typically uses Fox against so he ended up just using Peach.
